The adventure begins before dawn. At 2:00 AM, the group departs from Thrissur by train, heading northeast toward the enchanting frontier of Nagaland. The day is spent onboard, sharing stories and anticipation as the lush plains of South India roll past the windows.

Arrival at Dimapur, Nagaland’s gateway, around noon. A scenic drive through pine-covered valleys leads to Kohima, the capital nestled among rolling hills.
After hotel check-in, the evening is reserved for Kohima Night Market, where street food, tribal crafts, and local music bring the city to life.

After breakfast, a short drive takes you to Khonoma, Asia’s first Green Village — a model for community-led forest conservation and sustainable living. Wander through terraced fields, traditional Naga homes, and stone paths echoing the stories of local heroes.

Morning exploration of Kohima’s historic and cultural landmarks — the Kohima War Cemetery, a solemn memorial from World War II; Kisama Heritage Village, celebrating Naga tribes and traditions; and, time permitting, the Nagaland State Museum.
By evening, transfer to Dimapur Railway Station and board the night train to Guwahati.

Early arrival at Guwahati, the gateway to the Northeast. After breakfast, begin the long, scenic drive to Bomdila, ascending into the misty hills of Arunachal Pradesh. The road winds through tea gardens, dense forests, and small hill settlements.
Check into the hotel and unwind amidst the mountain chill. Explore local markets or enjoy sunset views over the valley.

After breakfast, continue north to Tawang, crossing the dramatic Sela Pass (13,700 ft) — a high-altitude gateway often blanketed in snow. Small frozen lakes, fluttering prayer flags, and panoramic peaks make the drive unforgettable.
Arrive at Tawang by evening and check into your hotel. Optional evening visit to the Tawang Monastery viewpoint.

A full day devoted to discovering Tawang’s spiritual and natural splendor. Visit the majestic Tawang Monastery, the second largest in the world, home to serene prayer halls and ancient murals. Continue to Bap Teng Kang Waterfall, Tawang War Memorial, and the mesmerizing Nuranang (Jung) Falls.

A long but scenic descent from Tawang to the plains of Assam. The road weaves past snow-lined ridges and river valleys before opening into the lush green plains of Tezpur.

At dawn, drive to Kaziranga National Park (50 km / 1.5 hrs), home of the iconic one-horned rhinoceros. Enjoy a Jeep or Elephant Safari, spotting rhinos, elephants, deer, and migratory birds against a backdrop of grasslands and wetlands.
By afternoon, proceed to Guwahati (180 km / 4–5 hrs).
